I’m in the middle of some major music therapy.
Tonight, I have a date with my gangsta brother, Jem, and the inimitable Ben Folds.
Be very afraid and very, very, jealous.
Did you know that Ben Folds and William Shatner are good friends…I wish I was friends with Captain Kirk.
Being a BIG fan of the OLD Star Trek series, I am really, really interested now in Ben Folds!
Alas, no one told me this AND I wasn’t invited to the concert.

This has nothing to do with anything you posted, but I had to share. I was in New York this weekend auditioning for the first time, and I had my first audition in the Equity building. Naturally, after waiting a few hours to be seen, I had to pee (gee… overshare much?) really badly. Unfortunately, since I’m presently non-Equity, I couldn’t use the bathroom in the lounge and so I panicked… UNTIL something deep inside me remembered a blog post of yours from awhile ago dealing with this exact subject. A lightbulb went off, and rather than wetting my jazz pants, I made my way downstairs and into the adjacent McDonald’s, just where your blog promised it would be, to do my business. Whoa, run-on sentence!
Overshare and run-on aside, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for blogging and having enough of an influence on my subconscious to help save my bladder and my pride. In addition to inspiring me and making me laugh, The Spectrum has saved me from social anxiety and a UTI. And for that, I tip my hat to you.
